New for 2023 Half term fun for the kids

Paper Lantern Making workshop
Are you looking for something local and fun to do with the kids and your family or friends this half term? Join us in the Spooky Barn at Powells Farm Wales for some Spooktacular fun this half term.
We'll be hosting a Stained glass paper lantern making workshop on selected dates and times. Come in fancy dress or borrow some of ours, first we'll get dressed up to look the part. Each child will make a stained glass paper lantern and collect a small branch to carry it with. A battery operated tea light will be included and once they're all made we'll take a walk out to meet the animals on the way to the pumpkin patch with the lights on at the edge of dark to test them out (weather permitting).
Cookies and squash snack is included in the price along with other craft, fun and games. Suitable for ages 4 and over.

Potion and Wand making workshop
Are you looking for something local and fun to do with the kids and your family or friends this half term? Join us in the Spooky Barn at Powells Farm Wales for some Spooktacular fun this half term.
We'll be hosting a potions making workshop on selected dates and times. Each child will make a "fang-tastic" potion and wizardly wand during the workshop. What will your child create.....a witches brew, bat wing tonic or a cob web stew. Come in fancy dress or borrow some of ours, first we'll get dressed up to look the part. Then we'll use the sorting hat to decide which Hogwarts House you belong in. Then we'll do a Spooktacular potions experiment before you have a go at making your own potion and wand.
Cookies and squash snack is included in the price along with other craft, fun and games. Come and make some magical memories with us on the farm.
Suitable for ages 4 and over.

MINI FARMER POWELL VIP FARM EXPERIENCE
Go behind the scenes at Powells Farm Wales. Experience the reality of daily farm life by joining the family team for the session.
Lasting around 1hr 30mins you will get the chance to get up close and personal and meet a selection of our farm animals and help out with the farm chores of the morning or afternoon. We will take a walk through the farm meeting and finding out about the animals as we go. We have lots of baby animals on the farm at the moment so it really will be a unique and rare opportunity to meet them and have a cuddle, take lots of photos and ask any questions you may have. Time permitting you will get to meet the piglets, pygmy goat kid and our new sheep dog puppy. You will help to make the animal pens clean and comfy, prepare their feed and water, visit the fields to check the animals are safe and well, this could include the rabbits, hens, guinea pigs and ponies. We'll go searching for eggs in the hen coop and have lots of fun. We'll ask the real Farmer Powell if we can have a sit in the tractor or on the quad bike for that unique photo opportunity. If we have time and the weather is good we'll finish off by picking some farm fresh potatoes for you to take home and enjoy.
